An Ode to a Friend

I must be so blessed by God,
This feeling grips my heart.
I feel our love has grown a lot,
from where once we made a start.

We’ve watched our thoughts bloom,
until now they are just one.
I care for you, you care for me,
In everything we have ever done.

We Know now we’ll not be alone,
For a long time till alive.
We know now without each other,
we would find difficult to survive.

And so this joy I felt inside,
did make me feel that I am blessed.
For everything you say or do,
leaves me even more impressed.

My sweet love we now know
this happiness shall never end.
Because my loving sweetheart,
you are after all, my sweetest friend.
